At the core of HQC’s Punch capability is 2 Amada and 1 Strippit turret punch press machine. HQC uses RADAN to convert component drawings (CAD / CAM) to CNC programmes. All 3 machines are linked via a DNC link to the main server to download the required programme ensuring only authorised data is accessed for production.
Once the machines are programmed we run the first off and have that signed off by QA.
Machine set up is accelerated by standardising component geometry and detail, thus allowing us to respond to sample / volume production in a cost effective and timely manner.
To optimise material utilisation, cut blanks are used to suit the specific component dimensions (Max dimensions 2500 x 1250 x 3mm). Materials used include cold reduced/hot rolled/galvanised mild steel, zintec, aluminium, stainless steel, copper and brass |
